What do I call my girlfriend? How to Navigate HBS/GSB Lingo

Before we dive into our experiences at HBS/GSB let’s get a couple of things straight. There is a lot of terminology that each school uses, and it can definitely get confusing. Is your girlfriend a “partner”? “Significant other”? What term do I use?? It took me awhile to get used to being the “partner” at HBS and now Jeffrey is the “SO.”

Here is a list of what terminology you should use. They might not all make sense now, but we’ll describe these in more detail later. Now you can sound cool when talking to your GSB/HBS friends.
